Jose has been an active and long standing member of KMPA. Few years ago, he had undergone surgery for a kidney ailment. He also battled Covid-19 recently. However, the long term effects of the infection took a toll on his health before his passing away.

Mourning his death, D Manmohan Shenoy, president, KMPA said that Jose “had rendered selfless service to KMPA in various capacities including chairman of recreation committee, chairman of membership development committee, and member editorial board”.

“His untimely loss comes as a shock and is a huge loss for KMPA and the print industry,” said Shenoy. “May his soul rest in eternal peace and we pray to the almighty to provide strength to his bereaved family in these trying times.”

People close to Jose said that he was outspoken and voiced his comments very openly. He was helpful in nature and always present for anybody with issues round the clock even ignoring his personal illness.

Expressing his grief, Rajesh G, managing partner at Rajsree Industrial Printer and vice president (central) and chairman for machinery committee at KMPA said, “It was real shocking news to hear our dear friend, Ajith Jose, is no more and has left us for heavenly abode. Still cannot believe it and accept the reality. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.”

Jose came to this field of printing as a trader dealing with Apple Macintosh computers in the ’90s. After a few years, he started his own printing unit by the name Print Express at Vennala, Ernakulam, Kerala. A very active member of KMPA, he held several responsible posts in KMPA. “We lost a good coordinator with excellent PR skills. Goodbye my dear friend, you left us too soon,” Rajesh grieved.

Kulakkada Pradeep, managing director at Future Schoolz and a member of KMPA informed PrintWeek that the funeral was held at Our Lady of Carmel church (old St Mary's church) Aripalam, near Irinjalakuda, Thrissur on 28 April 2021 at 11 am.
