The Kodak Trendsetter 800 was supplied and installed by Monotech Systems.
Karan Kansal of Kansal Graphics said, “We have been using Kodak CTP at our Dera Bassi unit from August 2020. We are happy with the performance of the machine, especially when it comes to quality and speed. In the beginning of 2022, we installed one Kodak CTP and processor in our newly established plant in Mohali, Punjab, and this month again purchased the second machine of the same configuration. So, now we have a total of three Kodak CTP.”
Kansal added, “We are producing more than 600 thermal printing plates in our Dera Bassi unit. The Mohali unit has just started and we have already touched 500 printing plates per day from the new facility. That’s the reason we went for another CTP machine within a couple of months. We are happy with the after-sales service from Monotech Systems and the technical knowhow of the team,” Kansal said.
Karan’s father Hitesh Kansal used to work with TechNova before setting up the CTP business.
“Our experience with Kodak has been fulfilling. Kodak India and Monotech Systems have supported us well. We are using Kodak printing plates as well,” Kansal added.
The entire Kansal family contributes to the running of the business. Hitesh Kansal is responsible for overall guidance while Karan’s wife Shruti and younger brother Varun have recently joined the business and are responsible for operations.
Tejinder Singh, general manager sales, Monotech Systems, said, “We have a long relationship with Kansal. When the company was planning to switch over from violet to thermal, we discussed the benefits of Kodak’s thermal technology for the kind of volume and quality the company was looking at.”
He added that the Punjab market has a good number of Kodak thermal CTPs installed in the last 10 years. “Kansal Graphics gave us an opportunity to enter the market with the first Kodak Trendsetter machine in its profile, and we are happy to supply the company with its third machine in a short time,” he added.
