IPAMA to host PrintPack in December 2021, will be a five-day show

The 15th edition now reduced to a five-day show will begin on 20 December 2021 at India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida, India.

Dayekar Reddy, president of IPAMA, while making the announcement at a virtually conducted press conference on 1 March 2021 said, only today the second phase of vaccination has begun, and we expect 40% of India’s population to be vaccinated by the end of July 2021. “We are hopeful that the two shots of hope will secure a majority of our population against the virus, which has had an adverse impact on the Indian industries.”

Reddy added, “Consequent upon remarkable improvement in the prevailing conditions and fast declining trend noticed in Covid-19 cases in the country, exhibitors, visitors and other related companies had started making emphatic enquiries regarding fixation of the new dates of the exhibition.”

IPAMA had detailed discussions with the officials of the India Expo Centre (IEML) about the availability of exhibition halls and other facilities and in consultation with the exhibitors, who had already booked space for participation before it decided to fix the new dates.

All Covid-19 related precautions will be in place. “There will be a special Covid-19 team at each of the entrance gates of the halls, to check for symptoms. There will be a Covid isolation room where the doctors will administer tests if required before the visitors are allowed to enter the halls. We will ensure that all the government SOPs are in place.”

The IPAMA is also pushing for registration to be done online. “We would like to avoid queues and chaos generally seen at the registration desk on the show days,” said Reddy.

As of date, there are 284 companies who have confirmed their bookings and IPAMA is expecting to reach the last edition’s number of 590. “The aim of IPAMA is to serve the industry. Given the circumstances, we have decided to lower the exhibition charges, plus early bird discounts. Hence the 15th edition of PrintPack will be cheaper than the previous ones. In addition, we are also offering discounts to IPAMA members only,” Reddy explained.

The PrintPack show is expected to occupy 10 halls at the India Expo Centre & Mart.
