INS asks for ban of all Chinese media in India

By 01 Jul 2020

Shailesh Gupta president, the Indian Newspaper Society, has urged the Government of India to take steps to ban all kinds of access to Chinese media in the country.

This follows the Chinese government restricting the access of Indian newspapers and media websites in the country. According to the INS, access to them is uncalled for. Even access through VPN (Virtual Private Network) servers has been blocked.

Gupta on behalf of the INS has also asked the Government to call off collaborations/investments made by Chinese companies in Indian media companies with immediate effect.
