Indian Institute of Packaging and Messe Dusseldorf have agreed upon a collaborative venture, and since IIP comes under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, an agreement regarding the collaboration has already been signed with the ministry. The two organisers will bundle their expertise in the packaging sector and the related processing industry with a focus on the Indian market. In one sense, the show will be a reinvention of IIP’s own biennial show Indiapack with Messe Dusseldorf bringing in the processing component.

The fair will be spread across 10,000 sq/mt, and the organisers are expecting 300 exhibitors from India and abroad.

The show will also feature the International Summit for Packaging Industry, on the theme, ‘Packaging: the growth driver’. The two-day seminar will be held on 27-28 October 2017, where local and international speakers will highlight the latest trends of various packaging materials, conversation technologies, packaging machineries with automation to increase productivity and reduce waste, among others.

And why not? After all, IIP has 50 years of experience in imparting packaging knowledge.

IIP is a national apex body set up in 1966 with the specific objective of improving the packaging standard in the country. Headquartered in Mumbai, the institute has branches in Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai. In addition, four more centres will be made operational soon in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Guwahati and Kakinada.

The biggest USP of Indiapack Pacprocess? It is powered by Interpack, one of the leading trade fairs in packaging and processing, a brand well known among Indian converters.

Messe Dusseldorf India, the co-organiser of the show, is a 100% subsidiary of Messe Dusseldorf GmbH, which also organises Drupa.

The show promises to offer a unique platform for entrepreneurs, decision makers, senior government officials, investors, industry members, traders, equipment buyers and suppliers, academia, engineers and trade delegations to congregate, brainstorm, showcase and forge meaningful partnership for business.
