HS Laxmi Graphic Innovation begins with KM C1085

Barun Maiti, who hails from Midnapore in West Bengal and owner of HS Laxmi Graphic Innovation, said he was enchanted by the process of printing since his childhood and joined a printing firm in Gujarat to pursue his interest in the field. He then set up his own printing firm in Kolkata, catering to the sari and hosiery brands in the city. The jobs were outsoured to printing firms in Gujarat.

Managing the activities and logistics from Gujarat was challenging. This compelled him to look for a suitable end-to-end printing solution, which could not only ease his company’s burden of outsourcing printing jobs, but also reduce the mounting operating expenditures.

“I felt that shorter-run jobs and variable jobs were increasing by the day and with cutthroat competition and fixed deadlines, digital was the best way to move forward,” Maiti said. Thus, he set up a base in this domain and deployed the Konica Minolta 1085, owing to its printing quality, high productivity and ability to perform high volume printing operations of diverse formats.
