Omprakash who has been associated with Horizon through their previous partners Proteck was the company’s first choice among many suitors.

“Our almost decade-long association with Om made our choice easy,” said Natsuhiko Yamada, manager for export department at Horizon.

The 70-year-old Kyoto-based manufacturer has a wide range of finishing equipment including folding, perfect binding, saddle stitchers, bookletmakers etc. In India, Horizon has been making noise in all the right ways with an installation of their RD 405, a rotary die-cutter and Smart Finishing Solution which has folding, stitching, binding and sheet processing system, to cater to the e-commerce and digital segments respectively.

“All Horizon-trained service engineers who were at Proteck will join us and Sundaramurthy, a long term colleague and friend, who has worked with me for Horizon will join me in the capacity of director,” said Omprakash.

“Our immediate focus will be to strengthen the sales network with possible dealers being appointed at select locations apart from expanding our in-house team,” explained Omprakash.
