“India is one of our top three markets, and thus, it is a huge achievement for us to be able to consolidate our market share in the region,” said Gustavo Cuata, managing director, Heiber + Schröder. “Currently, more than 90% of all ‘liner cartons’ in India is being produced with our equipment.”

Among its product lines, Cuata said the Speedliner is the most productive liner carton machine in the market, with an output close to 30,000 pieces of ‘liner carton’ per hour, ease of use and a number of technical improvements specifically developed for the Indian market.

“This model was born with the Indian market in mind and it keeps evolving according to our customer’s needs. Service-wise, we work hand-in-hand with our local agent Bobst India, for the best-in-class customer care and of course efficient sales support,” he added.

Recently, the company sold two Speedliner lines to Parksons Packaging.

“Today, the company produces approximately 100 machines annually for the packaging industry and has more than 1,500 machines running in over 70 countries worldwide,” Cuata said.

Bobst India has been representing Heiber + Schröder for the Indian market since the late 1990s, and is fully equipped to service and support the entire range of Heiber + Schröder machines.

The company also manufactures value-added solutions for window patching with V-notch and hot crease and pick and place windows, which are common in the textile, toys, cosmetic and luxury industry. Tube forming / liner application is unique to the Indian packaging industry for application in food packaging, which is hygroscopic in nature or wherein you have to preserve the aroma of the product like tea, spices, glucose powder, corn powder or for semi-liquid packaging of clarified butter and lubrication oil.
