Gurgaon-based EIH Press use the Steinemann Lotus for quality work

The firm provides end- to-end print solutions to the commercial and security printing segment among others. R Shankar of EIH said, “The investment in the kit has resulted in faster production and delivery of the jobs which in turn has reduced the turnaround time for the jobs and deliver effectively to our customers.”

 

EIH uses the machine to produce matt and gloss lamination on substrates for met-pet among others. “The quality aspect is much higher when compared to other machines,” added Shankar.

 

The Steinemann machine can laminate sheets of sizes 22 x 30cm to 102x142cm at the speed of 10,000 sheets per hour. “We convert around 7,000 sheets per hour.  We operate the machine at a speed of 6,000–7,000 per hour, which has resulted in lower turnaround time for jobs,” informed Shankar.

The Steinemann Lotus 102 SF has the production capacity of more than 1,00,000 sheets in a day. According to  SRK Technology, the delaers for Steinemann in India, "Depending on the substrate and the laminating film used, the Lotus 102 SF applies a mere 1.8 to 3.5 grams polyurethane (PUR) adhesive per square metre. A double sheet-cleaning brush with an additional, heatable, chromium-plated calendar makes the surface of substrate smooth and dirt-free."

The unique feature of Lotus 102 SF is its low glue consumption. This helps on increasing the savings on the glue and reducing the lamination costs. Plus, it is designed to consume less power, since it does not need a drier.
