SM Ramprasad, assistant vice-president of India operations at Fujifilm, said, “We are proud to be associated with PrintWeek India Awards. Through this association, Fujifilm aims to encourage the wide-format printers to elevate their standards and participate in the Oscars of the print industry.”

He added, “The Awards are undoubtedly the best in the print industry, recognising excellence in print, thus promoting the industry to attain higher standards. Fujifilm, too, is a stable, long term partner focussed on delivering high quality, technically advanced print solutions that help printers achieve excellence, develop competitive advantage and grow their businesses.”

Continuing the demonstrated prowess with the Acuity range of printers, Fujifilm will be expanding its wide-format inkjet printer portfolio and continue to offer global solutions in the Indian market.

Ramprasad informed, “Another important development is the launch of our next generation B2 sheetfed digital inkjet press, the Jet Press 720S. Featuring a number of key enhancements, the press sets a new standard in digital printing in terms of quality and consistency, production uptime, personalisation and variable data, and application flexibility. And, with an improved business model, the Jet Press 720S is set to transform the world of short run commercial printing.

Talking about Fujifilm’s growth in 2016-17, Ramprasad said, “Business has seen a robust growth with our increasing share in the flatbed market in India. Our Acuity range of printers has been a huge success in India plus the interesting trend is the inroads Fujifilm has made into tier-II and tier-III cities. This is also an indication of the strength of our inks plus the colour quality which is possible on a broad range of print formats and substrates. The response has been overwhelming.”
