The Italian manufacturer said the new machines, which can take substrates up to 50-mm thick, can print on both roll media and boards and feature a multi-roll option that enables users to load rolls during printing to reduce setup times and increase efficiency.

CMYK is the standard configuration, though light cyan, light magenta, white and varnish can be added as part of an eight-channel workflow.

Equipped with energy-efficient LED technology and supplied with integrated Durst Workflow Print software and the Durst Analytics monitoring tool, both machines offer print quality up to 1,200-dpi, multi-track options for up to six parallel boards and automatic media width and thickness detection.

The P5 350 can print at speeds of up to 120-sqm/hr while the P5 210 can output up to 90-sqm/hr.

Andrea Riccardi, head of product management, Durst, said, “Last year, we launched our flagship under the P5 platform, the P5 250 HS, and we are pleased this year to unveil these two new hybrid printers. We don’t focus only on the pure printing speed of the machines, but we consider the efficiency of the whole printing process, and with the new printers, we have introduced very interesting new features which increase and improve the productivity and efficiency of the printing process.”

Durst is also showing further developments to its HS-Series, which now comprises the 2.5-m wide P5 250 HS and the 2.05-m wide P5 200 HS. Both machines feature MEMS printhead technology and can print at up to 600-sqm/hr.
