“India is a big country. We cannot hope to cover all the potential business ourselves. We have embarked on finding strategic partners we can work with, one with specific skill sets, which will help us reach across India. This is a continuation of this strategy," Winderam said.

Esko has partnered with TechNova and Malhotra Graphics for its signage products pan-India while Malhotra will handle the flexo products in the Western region. “As you can see, our partners will not be competing with each other but promoting our products in their demarked markets,” Winderam added.

Popli specialises in supply of printing material consumables and marketing of printing equipments. The company, among others, represents TechNova, Autoprint, DuPont, Siegwerk, Hubergroup and 3M.

“We have been representing DuPont for the last 15 years. The Esko-DuPont relationship worldwide is very strong. It is a natural choice to bring that synergy to the customers. We have been engaged in Esko products in the past. Here, we are formalising the partnership,” said Sanjeev Popli, managing director at Popli. “Now we will be providing end-to-end solutions to our customers.”

According to Popli, offset is a very simple operation as compared to flexo. “There are many parameters in flexo and when people talk of Equinox as a process, where small components mismatch can knock the project off, it becomes imperative that one offers the complete solution,” he explained.

Winderam concluded, “We are pleased to partner with Popli, as this partnership enables us to offer a complete chain of our solutions to our customers.”
