Deepanshu Goel of Creative Graphics said, “We have a vision to serve our customers faster by establishing facilities near to them. The Ahmedabad unit is a part of this vision. We established the unit in January 2021. The city is a strategic location and a hub for printing and packaging industries. The other reason being few of our big clients are based in Ahmedabad. We were supplying them from other locations. Now, we are near them and we can serve them faster and better.”

The plant is self-sufficient and is equipped with automation engine, imaging engine and CDI Spark 5080 from Esko; DuPont Cyrel 3000 PS processor and DuPont Cyrel 3000 EVO EC (exposure unit) from DuPont and Kodak Flexcel NX 4260.

The company is serving around 100 customers from the plant spread across a 10,000-sqft area.

“We have a vision to be the best pre-press service centre for the printing and packaging industries, and to achieve this, we are working closely with our clients. We want to give them what they want with the best of technology and services,” Goel said.

He added that while the market has shrunk and most of the converters are going slow due to the pandemic, things are coming back to normal. “The pandemic impacted us geography wise, not the entire country in one go. It impacted close to 30% of the total flexo plates demand. The stationery market was gone, tobacco factories were shut and similar things happened with the liquor,” he said.

Meanwhile, Creative is coming up with a photopolymer sleeves plant in Noida. Goel said it will enable seamless printing and faster turnaround. The plant is operational partially as the work got delayed because of the pandemic.

“It is a vertical integration for us since we are serving the same market. We want to grow in double digits,” he said.

Around 270 people work in all the six locations of Creative.
