The value and wealth creators were outperformers of the list. As Cosmo’s market cap has grown at a CAGR of more than 56 per cent over the last three years, it was enlisted as a value creator.

S Satish of Cosmo Films said, “We are happy to be recognised as one of the Top 25 value creators of FI The Next 500 list. This is inspiring for us and at the same time a challenge for us to step up to the next level and enter the FI 500. To achieve this the company is focusing on identified target segments, getting the basic cost structure right by achieving operational excellence in every function, and then looking to differentiate and innovate continuously, to remain at the top of the game.”

Cosmo is planning to invest in expanding its manufacturing footprint in India in the next few years. It has set up the country’s largest BOPP line at one of its existing facilities which is already running at its full capacity.

The investments announced by Future include a speciality BOPET line which is expected to be commissioned by December 2018, and a CPP line and a metalliser, which are expected to be commissioned by the end of 2017.

The company has acquired 32 acres of land adjacent to its plant in Aurangabad for these expansion plans and for the future. “Going forward, the company also plans to get into related B2C businesses and create more value and wealth for its shareholders,” concluded Satish.
