Matteo Cardinotti, head of the narrow and mid-web multi-process and converting product line, Bobst, said, “Participation at Labelexpo Asia next December will be the crowning finale to an extraordinary year for Bobst in terms of the unique innovations we have introduced to our range of digital, hybrid and DigiFlexo presses and printing and inline converting processes. We look forward to illustrating them in detail to the visitors of our stand at Labelexpo Asia.”
The Master DM5 hybrid press offers digital and analogue printing, and is aimed at the label market. The machine boasts of a speed up to 100 m/min.
Along with the new hybrid press, Bobst will also highlight DigiColor, an inline closed-loop system in the flexo industry that enables digital colour adjustments to the target Delta E during printing, at numerous speed levels and a wide range of substrates. In addition, the company will also shed light on Ink-on-Demand (IoD), a print unit without conventional inking reservoirs that uses close to 30 grams of ink for colour matching and printing.
The labels, packaging printing and converting specialists will also shed light on technologies for UV food safety and innovative workflows developed within the Revo technology team, such as Packaging Connected. “The latter development is a fully digititalsed and connected workflow enabling the traceability of every item of packaging, from the original file, to the press, to job validation and storage of the digital data generated from the final printed job. These advanced technologies are features of Bobst DigiFlexo lines for label and packaging production such as the Master M5 and the Master M6,” said a company press note.
Bobst's service portfolio includes a range of apps and technical support that bolsters its connectivity with converters’ equipment and processes. The company will provide video displays of the range of technologies it offers at the trade show. The visitors can visit Bobst at stand D6.
