The new development is based on AVT’s SpectralLab platform of which there are numerous installations worldwide. “The SpectraLab ll’s in-line spectral measurement and monitoring device, offers new levels of automation, introducing enhanced in-line to offline colour measurement correlation,” said Itzick Barazani, sales and marketing director for AVT’s Asia Pacific region.

According to Barazani, the system is very beneficial to the labels and packaging converters because of the uniform processing it performs. “It ensures that you print to the numbers, supporting your colour make-ready and production, saving valuable time and costly press stops.”

At the Labelexpo Europe, AVT also introduced the Jet-IQ, a closed loop system that was seen in action on Mark Andy digital press and Gallus’ LabelFire. “The Jet-IQ gives the digital printers the advantage of enhanced print quality at high speeds, reduced press down time, and full reporting capabilities.”

At the Automation Arena, AVT showcased the iCentre, a workflow solution that it is working on for the last couple of years with partners like Esko, CERM and X-Rite.

Explaining the benefit of the iCentre, Barazani, said, it will generate the jobs from a single location for either a single- or multi-location, an. “It can set up inspection parameters through pre-press, printing, finishing and billing, an end-to-end solution.” He added, “It’s a work in progress. We are working with different stakeholders, including press manufacturers.”
