AIFMP announces girl student scholarship and other student related schemes

As they gear up for a busy few days at their stall in PrintPack, All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) announced a number of schemes and scholarship for print technology students at both engineering and diploma levels.

“In a bid to encourage print education in India and prompt younger generation to opt for printing as a career we have announced these schemes and shared the intimation with all education institutions too,” said Anand Limaye, general secretary of AIFMP.

The scholarship is aimed at encouraging girl students to take up print technology as a career and will provide Rs 50,000 every year against the tuition fees of the student till the completion of their course. One scholarship is expected to be awarded per region (north, south, east and west) based on merit and financial status, said the communique.

The association also announced a stipend of Rs 1500 per month for 10 diploma level students across India.

“All applications should be recommended and forwarded by the head of the printing institute where the student is studying and sent in the name of President, All India Federation of Master Printers so as to reach the office of AIFMP at New Delhi on or before 10 March, 2017,” said Limaye.

AIFMP also plan on awarding gold medals to outstanding students of diploma, BTech and MTech in any branch of printing every year with the final selection being done through interview or an appropriate test to the nominated students.
