Jiby George of Chaudhary Labels shares his views about the tear-proof and water-proof properties of the synthetic papers from Cosmo Films

Please describe your company. 
Chaudhary Labels is 40-year-old trims, accessories and packaging manufacturing company located in Delhi. The ISO 9001 and 14001, SA 8000, Sedex, Oeko Tex, and FSC-certified company offers one-stop solution to its customers.

The company specialises in manufacturing of woven/ printed labels, offset/ screen printed hantags (PVC, paper, non-tearable), heat and HD transfers, barcodes, UPCs price tickets, gross grain ribbons and tapes (dyed, plain and weaved), embroidered and woven patches, tag seals, mono cartons and rigid boxes, among others.

When did you start using Cosmo Synthetic Paper?
We are using a wide range of synthetic papers from Cosmo Films for more than last six years now. 

What are the properties of Cosmo Synthetic Paper you like? 
Some of the properties we like are the feel of paper; its light weight; eco-friendly material; easy recyclability; non-tearable nature and water-proof properties.

Why did you decide to use the Cosmo Synthetic Paper? 
The Cosmo Synthetic Paper is made as per the international quality standard requirement. The product maintains good quality for printing and other applications.

How much have these features helped in your production? 
The product has passed extractable and soluble tests. Coating is done on the surface for best results. Print receptive coatings are typically primers-applied to a substrate to anchor various printing ink types. These coatings have good rub-resistance and can be formulated with excellent chemical resistance. 

For what applications is the Cosmo Synthetic Paper used?
We use Cosmo Synthetic Paper for the purpose of creating branding collaterals along with other applications like hangtags and different types of labels and tags.

Is there anything that can be improved about this? 
The company should keep ready stock of regularly used papers which would help reduce delivery lead time.

If there’s a critical print job that has come your way, would you rely on this to see it through?
We are doing brand printing on Cosmo paper. So yes, we do rely on its quality.

What’s the quality like?  
The product is extremely lightweight and has coatings, which helps provide the best print quality.

How easy is it to use? 
Synthetic papers from Cosmo are very easy to use for all printing purposes. Time interval is larger for ink dryness. We use special ink for printing.

Would you say that it offers value for money? 
The product is used for various applications in branding and printing. This synthetic paper is recyclable and has now replaced regular paper in applications requiring longevity. The paper is tear-proof and water-proof. We prefer using Cosmo Synthetic Paper for best results.

Do you feel any difficulties during printing? 
Cosmo Synthetic Paper is very easy to handle for printing. We have not faced any difficulties in using the product.

Who do you think the paper is right for? 
It is best for branding and printing applications. It can be used wherever longevity, water-proof properties and non-tearability are required. Being recyclable and eco-friendly, it can be easily used as a replacement for regular paper.
