Me & My: Konica Minolta Bizhub Press C1100

Please describe your company. 
Established in 2014, Shree Kamna Colour Digital Solutions is a digital printing company with seven printing centres in Delhi, Meerut, Panipat, Mathura, Agra, and Firozabad. We will soon be opening two more printing centres in Agra and Saharanpur. We print more than 14 lakh A3 colour prints per month in seven centres. We are a partnership venture between Pradeep Bhardwaj and Mayank Jain, headquartered in Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi. Around 150 people work for Shree Kamna Colour Digital Solutions. 

When did you start using the Konica Minolta press?
We started our first digital print production in 2014 with Konica Minolta Bizhub Press C8000 in Patparganj, Delhi. Right now, we have multiple machines of Konica Minolta Bizhub Pro 1100 and Konica Minolta Accurio Press 6100.

What are the properties of the press you like? 
Konica Minolta printing presses are economical and don’t require much maintenance. It prints vibrant colours well and smoothly. 

How are you benefiting from it? 
We entered digital printing to meet the demands for short-run printing jobs. We can print even a single saleable sheet with digital printing presses which is not possible with other printing technologies. Customers get instant and multiple prints in one go. 

Did you look at other similar digital printing presses? 
Yes, before any investment, a printer must check all the available options. So, we did the same before zeroing down on Konica Minolta. 

What are the features that tilted your favour towards Konica Minolta?
Any capital equipment requires excellent after-sale service, which we are getting continuously. Another feature is its affordable running cost. As you know a printer must pay a recurring cost to run a digital printing press. 

How have these features helped you in your print production?
Since the cost of running the machine is affordable with the features available with the machine. The machine offers wide good colour management, media flexibility helping us to do a wider variety of applications from our customers. 

For what applications is the machine used?
We print all types of short-run jobs which can be printed through digital printing. Mostly, we print commercial jobs and advertising/ promotional materials. 

Is there anything you do not like or can be improved about this? 
The only problem is the premature failure of the developer but Konica Minolta engineers take care of this problem by changing the developer before the end of life.

If a critical print job comes your way, would you rely on this to see it through?
Since the installation of the printing press, we haven’t faced any problems. Most of our jobs have been printed on the Konica Minolta. 

What’s the quality like? Can you give examples to compare quality enhancement?
We have bought ten Konica Minolta’s digital printing presses in the last three years and this is the biggest example of the quality of print production. We have never faced any quality related issues from our customers. 

How easy is it to use? 
It is very easy to use. With basic training, a person without any technical know-how can run the machine. 

Would you say that it offers value for money?  
Yes. It’s value for money.

Who do you think the digital printing press is right for? 
This is a perfect digital printing press for all kind of commercial and promotional jobs, especially for short-run. 

Under what circumstances would you recommend it to others? 
I will recommend the machine if someone wants to print short-run jobs faster and economically with quality print production.
