Me & My: Acme Anilox Sleeves

Please describe your company.
Established in 2000 as an offset printer, Yashvi Printpack diversified into flexo printing in 2011 with a plant in the outskirts of Ahmedabad. Since then, it is known for delivering quality label products.

When did you start using the sleeves from Acme Rolltech?
We started using Acme Anilox sleeves from July 2019. Till now, we have purchased more than 30 sleeves from Acme. Acme Rolltech has never failed in delivering the product they offer along with the committed quality.

What are the properties of the sleeves you like?
The best thing we like about the Acme sleeves is the reliability in terms of print repeatability. We get the exact volume we need as per the specifications given to them, and we don’t need the trial-and-error way to match any particular Pantone shades. With our Gallus ECS 340 machine and Acme anilox sleeves, we are running our press at an average speed of 130-mtr/min.

Why did you decide to use sleeves from Acme Rolltech?
We have been associated with the Acme team for the past 10 years. When we came to know that Acme Rolltech is the first Indian company who have started manufacturing ceramic anilox rolls and sleeves in India, we immediately started business with them. We fully trusted the Acme team. Earlier, we were facing quality, delivery and other issues. All the problems were resolved by the Acme team by providing superior quality anilox sleeves in the least possible time of 15 days as compared to 30-45 days from foreign suppliers.

How much did the sleeves help you in your production?
Our job-setting time has reduced drastically because of the perfect ink volume transfer we get from the sleeves. Acme offers a series of components for our machine and the components have done much value addition by reducing most of our problems and improving the quality standard by setting a new benchmark in the industry.

Is there anything that you do not like or can be improved about this?
No, not at all. Acme is known for delivering excellent products over the committed time.

If there’s a critical printing job that has come your way, would you rely on this to see it through?
We are doing a lot of new developments for our critical jobs with Acme. Yashvi has faith in every member of the Acme team. This faith is one of the reasons for working with them. It will also help in overcoming any critical job in the near future.

What’s the quality like?
Gallus ECS 340 is considered as the best flexo printing machine and Acme anilox sleeves complement it by giving the best print results with higher speed and least possible job-setting time.

How easy is it to use and handle?
Acme anilox sleeves are lightweight and easy to handle. Whenever we order new sleeves, my team doesn’t need to worry about the ink volume transfer issues. For my team, it is a plug and play process. The parts offered by Acme Rolletch are very easy to use. All the machine operators and the entire team at the plant of Yashvi are very happy and satisfied

Would you say that it offers value for money?
Absolutely. Acme anilox sleeves are value for money in all aspects. The sleeves from Europe and the US are too costly and the lead time is also high. With Acme sleeves, we get the same quality printing in the best possible lead time and the best price. Every single minute spent in the R&D with the team of Acme Rolltech is more than worth it.

Who do you think are the sleeves right for?
Acme Rolltech caters not only to the narrow-web label industry but also the wide-web flexo, CI flexo, corrugation and offset industry. We have a few friends in the industry who are using Acme rollers in other industries successfully.
