Why a demo centre?
Konica Minolta Business Solutions India started in 2010 with a commitment to expand the company’s presence in the country’s growing digital printing solutions market, and as a preferred OEM. Today, we hold more than 55% market share in digital production printing in India.

As we value our customer’s investments, we wanted them to touch, feel and experience the quality and the productivity of our presses before making the investment decisions. This is the reason we decided to set up the Digital Imaging Square (DIS) in 2012 with facilities encompassing everything from pre-press, press to post-press.

Konica Minolta also has a demo centre for industrial printing named Digital Innovation Centre in Gurugram.

Machines on the floor
Located in Gurugram, Haryana, at the DIS, we have a fleet of live machines, starting from the latest A3 multi-function printers (MFPs) to fully loaded production presses. Here, we also test our upcoming technologies to suit India specific conditions.

Our pre-sales experts are always there to support the customers and address their queries in the best possible ways. Our typical demo starts from understanding the customer requirements, the kind of jobs they do, various media/ stock they use, average print volume they cater to, and so on.

How is it done?
After getting a basic understanding of their business, we recommend the solution best suited for them. Also, we try to deliver the demo on the files and media provided by the customer so that the results the customer would get on our machines are visible before they make the investment.

Visitors
Since 2012, we have catered to more than 2,500 customers and partners, following which we have made 1,300+ installations.

What’s special?
The primary focus of the facility is India-specific applications, the kind our customers use for their clients. We have put together the dummy applications keeping in mind the design and graphics used by Indian end-users. We have a team of in-house designers who keep updating the samples which can be used by our customers to deliver impressive end-product.

Also, the DIS is used for the periodic internal trainings organised for our engineers and our pre-sales team to experiment and test the machine before visiting the customer site.

The facility is also used for special experience sessions given to media teams for training our customer operators to make them understand the technical knowhow of the presses.
