Ajay Chhajed, director at Webtech Industries, says, thanks to Finsys, they have improved on customer service and information exchange
Describe your company?
Navi Mumbai-based Webtech Industries is part of a 25-year old packaging group with the same name. We have invested in a slew of equipment since 2009, setting up specialised unit for mono cartons and pharmaceutical outserts. This includes kit from Heidelberg, Komori, and post-press machines from Bobst, Polar and Vijuk. Recently, we have invested in a Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system from Delhi-based Finsys Infotech, which is described below.
What does the software do?
Finsys ERP is a complete package, which takes care of our entire business process right from production and planning to finance and accounting, to taxation and human resource department. One system, all through.
Why did you choose this particular software?
Before installing Finsys ERP, we used a system, which was developed by a local company. There were a few gaps, like, it wasn’t a closed-loop system and lacked modules for taxation and human resources.
Did you look at any other similar software?
Yes, we did. Not only did we evaluate other systems, but we also burnt our fingers trying to use a couple of them. We have been using w for six months now and it has been a comfortable experience.
Why did you make the purchase?
After our previous experiences with ERPs, we wanted to have a system that would take care of all the aspects of our business. I think Finsys fits the bill. When you have one system looking after all the processes, you are able to extract the gist and the right intelligence that a managing director needs to make decisions.
What features do you particularly like?
I liked three essential features in the system. One, it facilitates live reporting. This helps analyse key parameters. Two, it manages all taxations such as excise, VAT, etc., flawlessly. And the third, it also works on mobile platforms, both Android as well as iOS.
Is there anything you wish it had that it doesn’t?
I would be even happier if it had user-level customisation of reports.
How is the speed and reliability?
It is a light-weight application. We have never had crashes.
How much time or money has it saved?
It facilitates constant exchange of information with customers in timely fashion since the reports are generated in a matter of seconds. It has hastened the decision making process. And I believe time, in its own way has indirectly accrued monetory savings.
Has it won you any new work?
Better customer service translates into happy customers and more work. So I would say, it has contributed in procuring more work.
Would you say that it offers value for money?
Definitely. I found it to be the most affordable and complete package for an SME company like ours.
What about the pre- and after-sales service?
Surprisingly, the service has been very efficient. Initially, we were sceptical about the service since the company is based out of New Delhi. Finsys has dedicated helplines for service support and the response is prompt. They also visit our site to provide support and training.
Under what circumstances would you invest in another license or higher version?
In future, if we expand our facility to a newer location, we will definitely opt for additional Finsys licences.
