Omega Printopack commissions Fine Coat 80

Haridwar-based Omega Printopack commissioned Fine Coat 80, the UV coating machine from Autoprint.

Sandeep Kumar Jain, director, said: "Autoprint is one of the best Indian machines. It fulfills all our requirements of UV coating and the after sale service is an additional factor that prompted us for the investment."

The in-house plate exposing system from Memory produces 500ps plates to feed its two colour Poly 266 and Adast 725 with a size of 19x26 inches, both the machines are refurbished and alcohol dampening. "We will definitely go for CTP in future as the technology reducing the steps to produce the plates," added Jain.

The company was formed in 2003 at Jhilmil Industrial Area, Delhi and after that shifted to Haridwar. The family business is run by Pradeep Jain, Anuj Jain and Sandeep Kumar Jain.

In house five designers are based in Delhi. Most of the time negatives come from Delhi and on the urgent requirement they went for job works.

The packaging printing company is fully dedicated to pharmaceutical company. The company has a clientele of around 30 regular clients including Dabur, Alkem and Bio Chem.

Finishing section of the company includes lamination machines from Sehgal, die cutting machines from Sodhisons and folding and gluing machine from Pratham Technologies.

The pharma packaging company converts around 30 ton board per month and board is supplied by  ITC, JK and Khanna up to 350 gsm.

Omega runs its operations round the clock in 22,500 sq ft covered area with around 25 people. In the last financial year company scored a turnover of six crore INR and targeting for eight crore INR this financial year.

"We visit Indian exhibitions on the regular basis and planning for a brand new four colour offset printing press", Jain added.
