This is the second digital printing machine bought by the company from Konica Minolta.
In January this year, the increasing demand and flexibility of the digital CMYK process prompted the company to invest in a Konica Minolta C70HC. “We wanted to regain the markets which we had lost out our grip on. We received overwhelming response for our photo albums after installing KM C70HC,” said Rahul Goyal, owner, Dulari Digital Photo Services, explaining his decision.
“The responses prompted us to buy a second Konica Minolta Bizhub press but with higher production capacity,” he added. He believes that there is a huge demand from the graphic arts community in Ludhiana and surrounding areas which can be catered using BizHub Press C8000. Therefore, on 6 November, he installed a KM C8000 Bizhub production photo printing press in his unit. Both machines were supplied by Monotech, one of the three distributors of Konica Minolta presses in India.
“With this press, I want to capture the graphic arts market in Punjab that has long been dominated by Indigo presses. To complement the Bizhubs we have a fully-automatic Noritsu digital press and a battery of binding and cutting machines,” Rahul said.
The company has a complete setup for designing, printing and finishing. With the addition of the new Digital Press there capacity has increased and can offer better turn-around time for short run applications including variable data printing.
Tadahiko Sumitani, managing director, Konica Minolta Business Solutions India said, “I am glad that Dulari Digital Photo Services has installed a Bizhub Press C8000, which is the second Konica Minolta Digital Press supplied and supported by our premium partner Monotech Systems.”
Konica Minolta claims that Bizhub Press C8000 prints at 80 A4 pages per minute at 1,200 dpi. The machine can take up to 350 GSM of paper and has a suction feed technology similar to offset.
