Uttarbanga Sambad, the largest circulated Newspaper in North Bengal has invested in Kodak Trendsetter News platesetter. Commenting on the installation, Sabyasachi Talukdar, editor of Uttarbanga Sambad, said, “The Thermal technology does not require air-conditioning for transportation and storing of plates. Hence we opted for the Kodak thermal CTP as it also enables speed option from 42 plates to 70 plates.”
According to Kodak India, Saraswati Print Factory has installed two Kodak Achieve 400 platesetters.
In commercial segment, Kolkata-based York Print has installed it s third Kodak Trendsetter 800 platesetter. The 30-year old, York Print had installed the Kodak CTP Technology in its Guwahati and Kolkata units earlier, and now they invested in a Kodak Trendsetter 800 platesetter to support their expansion plans.
Also, Guwahati-based Janambhumi Press opted for Kodak’s thermal technology with the installation of Kodak Trendsetter 400 and also placed its second order for Kodak Trendsetter News platesetter to cater to their Newspaper division.
Subroto Sharma, managing director of Janambhumi Press, said, “We have chosen Kodak Thermal CTP technology as its speed as well as the size is upgradable, which is a very important factor in today’s changing print scenario.”
