The MoU was executed by the two organisations’ heads – Mehul Desai, president of BMPA and Mayur Suchak, Renaissance’s managing director.

Desai said, “We look forward to a sterling partnership, most importantly beneficial to the print industry, rather than Renaissance and BMPA. If the industry makes progress then all of our stakeholders in the industry will also progress. It is our dream to see an integrated print cluster where all printers and allied industry are present in an infrastructure which is world-class. This is the first step towards that progress.”

The MoU lays out the ground rules, under which Renaissance will be offering the units to our members.

Tushar Bhotica, a member of the committee which coordinated the proposal, said, “Signing the papers is the easy part of the process, the difficult part if going to be to promote and make the people believe to what we see as our vision. All our efforts in the eight to twelve months will be to encourage the industry to participate in this.”

According to Suchak of Renaissance, the print park will be an industrial smart city concept laid out in Bhiwandi. “Under the make in India and make in Maharashtra policies, we have signed a MoU with the government to create an industrial smart city. The objective to create the industrial smart cities is that: creating a world-class where the synergies of the government and private industry sector are in play.”
