Delhi-based 3S Graphic Solutions is the Indian sales agent for Zhongke India.

The India operation is headed by Rohit Rajpal. Talking to PrintWeek India during the show, Rajpal said, “We have booked nine fully automatic rigid box manufacturing machines in India." Among them two orders are from Bengaluru, one is from Chennai, four are from Delhi and two from Indore.

“We see rigid box as a potential market, as mobile manufacturing companies are establishing their plants in India. This will create a demand for rigid boxes in mobile handset packaging. Worldwide more than 200 of our machines are engaged in the production of rigid boxes for iPhones and iPads," Rajpal said.

Out of the nine machines which are India bound, four are ZK 660 ANP, three are ZK 660 AN and two are ZK 5540 rigid box making machines.

Zhongke India will provide a Chinese operator to run the machine for the first one month. “If a converter wants the operator to stay for a longer period, he can do so, but he will have to pay for it," Rajpal added.

Zhongke has an installation base of more than 3,000 machines worldwide. The company has 1,800 machines installed in China alone.

Right now, Zhongke India has appointed four service engineers in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru/Sivakasi.

Next, the firm is planning a demo centre in Delhi-NCR soon.
