The China-based print and packaging machinery manufacturer, also making its debut at Drupa, claims to adopt aerospace system into design and manufacturing platform for mass production of CI flexo presses in China.

Mumbai-based Plastech Marketing, the Indian representative for the company, also marked its presence at the stand.

Running live at the stand, the E-film is capable of printing on web width of 1270mm at a speed of 460 m/min on ultra-thin 18micron breathable PE film to 70micron film with inline slitting. The CI press is fitted with an AVT system, a servo motor controlled sleeve system, Italian-make CI drums and an auto roll changing system and is suitable for printing on films used for diapers and sanitary napkins.

Describing the transformation of autospace advantage into the CI preses, Bharath Yalla of Plastech Marketing, said, “Xi’an Aerospace-Huayang has used the aerospace technology to achieve tension control, which is so important when running ultra-thin films.”

The E-film is available in two options, geared and gearless models with cost ranging from USD250,000  to USD900,000.

Besides CI presses, Xi’an Aerospace-Huayang also manufactures wallpaper production lines, gravure presses, micro gravure and unwinding stations.

Last December, Xi’an Aerospace and Dupont Packaging signed a memorandum agreeing to work towards increasing the penetration of flexography in China’s packaging and printing market.
