“By making the two new launches available in India, we have shown how keen we are to bring the latest technology to India,” said Pankaj Kalra, associate director and head - graphic communications business.

According to Kalra, the Xerox Color C75 and J75 combine duplex printing, copying and scanning with a range of finishing options and are aimed at mid-production commercial printer and quick printers, who print 30,000 to 1,00,000 copies per month. “These jobs could range from photobook and brochures to direct mailers and catalogues” said Kalra.

Both the Color C75 and J75 are capable of printing and copying at 2,400dpi on a range of coated and uncoated stocks from 64-300gsm at speeds of up to 75 pages per minute (ppm), the USP of the J75, which is a higher-end engine, is that it can handle all paper stocks at its top-rated speed for uncoated stocks to 51ppm for coated and the ability to print on both sides automatically. “It eliminates manual intervention of re-feeding the stack for printing on the second side,” said Kalra.

Sheet sizes for both printers range from a minimum of 102mm x 142mm up to a maximum of 330mm x 488mm. Both presses are available with Xerox FreeFlow or EFI Fiery EX print server. The J75 also features Xerox's Automated Color Quality Suite (ACQS), which combines an inline spectrophotometer with colour management tools to minimise operator involvement.

Emphasising on the productivity of the machine, Kalra said, “The recommended average monthly volume for both devices is 20,000 to 75,000 pages, however, the J75 has the higher duty cycle at 450,000 pages/month compared to the C75's 300,000 pages per month.

Xerox’s popular Color 1000 Press was also seen running live demos.
