The prototype of the press was earlier showcased at Print Pack 2011 but the machine was not available for sale.

Kishore Kumar PS, manager-marketing, Webtech Engineering said, “We provide customised machines which are produced as per the requirements of the customer and his applications. The Flexomaster is a sturdy machine with vibration free performance, suitable for printing on labels and flexible packaging.”

Flexomaster is an eight-colour narrow web flexo printing press which is compatible with solvent-based; water-based; and UV inks. It is equipped with pneumatically controlled splice table and electronic web aligner. “Optional features such as variable data printing, video based inspection system, corona unit etc can be added to the machine,” Kumar added.

Webtech Engineering has installed over 700 machines worldwide. According to Kumar, digital technology is surging into the label market but it is only limited for short runs jobs. He said, “The variety which flexo provides cannot be obtained by using digital technology. The products printed digitally are easy to counterfeit as opposed to flexography which has more technicalities and processes involved are more so it becomes difficult to fake when printed conventionally.”

“The label industry is growing rapidly and we are looking to capture the opportunities in the market,” concluded Kumar.
