Wayne Morgan and Hormazd Sorabjee to present PrintWeek India Company of the Year Award

Wayne Morgan, the digital publisher for Haymarket Business Media and Hormazd Sorabjee, editor of Autocar India will be joining more than 400 guests at the Grand Hyatt in India - and cheering the Indian print firms picked as the crème de la crème of print.

In 2009, this ultimate of all Awards was presented to Manipal Press. In 2010, the award was presented to International Print-O-Pac.

This year, the shortlisted companies include some of the biggest print firms in India. These are: Gautam Paper Udyog, International Print-o-Pac, Parksons Packaging, Pragati Offset, Replika Press, Repro India, Spenta Multimedia and Unik Printers.

Speaking after he accepted the invitation from India to attend the PrintWeek India Awards, Morgan spoke from London and said: "I am honoured and delighted to be presenting the ultimate Award – the PrintWeek India Printing Company of the Year."

He spoke of his enthusiasm to interact with the winners during the Award night.

On 26 August, Wayne Morgan shall participate in a Breakfast Session which is being co-hosted by Canon India and PrintWeek India. This will be a closed door session with the CEOs of award-winning firms who shall discuss the latest and best trends in the industry.

Morgan has been running businesses for content and editorial web sites, job boards and classified search engines across varying industries and markets, UK and Global. This includes: PressXchange, which is the world’s leading website for sourcing used graphics (printing) machinery.

Morgan stated: "The site was launched in 2000 by a former printing equipment dealer, Haymarket acquired the site in 2007 to complement its growing printing portfolio of products, namely PrintWeek and its sister titles around the world. As a fully gated website, users have to register to view details of the equipment and it has attracted more than 140,000 equipment buyers to use the service. Its popularity continues to grow and currently around 45,000 people visit the website every month looking for equipments."

Hormazd Sorabjee is an iconic figure in the automobile industry as well as magazine publishing. Sorabjee laid the foundations of Haymarket in India with the September 1999 launch of Autocar India. Later, the group launched a fortnightly trade magazine, Autocar India Professional. This was followed by the Indian editions of international consumer brands like WhatCar? and Stuff. The year 2007, saw Haymarket become one of the first international media companies to establish a wholly owned subsidiary in India to launch Campaign India followed by PrintWeek India.
