WAN-IFRA India has introduced a new concept called Media Port as a part of the Expo this year. "Media Port is a dedicated location for quick learning workshops, modelled on the same lines as in our IFRA Expo in Europe . It will have schedules of workshop everyday on various print business, print production and new media topics. The entry and attending the workshops in
the Media Port is absolutely free for visitors," said Mohamed.

Divided into five sessions across three days the topics for the sessions are semi-commercial printing, print quality and materials management, digital media, multimedia journalism and press simulator.

"For three days, the industry’s top technology and service providers will showcase their latest product and service developments and offerings, providing publishers a vital resource for keeping up with the industry challenges," concluded Mohamed.

Jacob Mathew who is the executive editor and publisher of Malayala Manorama is the president of WAN-IFRA, the first Indian to do so. Mathew will address the conference delegates at the inaugural session on Sep 6.
