Representing Vianord’s board of directors Pier Luigi Sassanelli said, “One of the major issues for the customers processing water washable plates is discarding the wastewater. And that’s the reason water washable plates didn’t take off. The Evo Wave addresses this issue by reusing the water. The user just needs to refill water to compensate for the evaporation.”

Unlike the water-washable plate processors available on the market, Vianord’s new product doesn’t use mechanical filters and doesn’t require any manual intervention.

“Secondly, Evo Wave washes plate on a drum and has twin waterfalls on the side of the drum, which enables uniform cleaning of the plate and at the same time the drum construction significantly reduces the footprint of the machine,” added Sassanelli.

Besides this, Vianord is showcasing its Easy To Plate Fusion fully automated modular platemaking system which is said to combine nine pre-press stages into one machine thereby simplifying the platemaking workflow.

Sassaelli announced that in August 2017, Vianord delivered its first Easy To Plate Fusion E, developed in partnership with Esko to Inci-Flex in Italy. “E stands for Esko. The Fusion is coupled with Esko CDI Crystal 5080 XPS in order to deliver a complete automation of the platemaking process.”

Vianord is a five-year-old technology start-up with 549 installations across 63 countries. It is eyeing a 12-million Euros turnover in 2017.
