Toyo Ink India flexes global muscle at Drupa

Toyo Ink (Hall 04 / Stand C07) is exhibiting a series of “eco-friendly” laminate gravure printing inks for soft urethane packages.

According to the company, the Liovalue series of mek (methyl ethyl ketone) and toluene-free oil-based inks along with Aquaecol and Aqualina series of water-based inks offer variation in response to different textile types.

B S Kampani, president and managing director, Toyo Ink India said, "The group’s participation at Drupa 2012 is based on the concept of 'visible science for life - contributing to life through science that can be seen’."

The company launched its flexo lamination range of surface printing inks called the Aquaduran series disposable diaper packs, the Aquacup series surface printing inks for instant noodle cups, and the Aqualex series for paper beverage packs.

The ink manufacturer has also announced that the existing Toyo Ink India factory will be its third global hub for manufacturing of inks to suppliers worldwide.

Kampani added, "We plan to appeal to the customers by being a speciality chemical manufacturer and a partner for the next generation ink products in the printing market.”

Also on display is a print application done with Toyo Ink’s flagship Kaleido series of offset printing inks providing a wide CMYK colour-gamut that enables “printing of six to seven colours through four-colour process.”
