Telangana’s Pooja Digitals installs MGI Jet Varnish 3DS

Telengana’s Pooja Digitals is an example how digital production printers are helping small- and mid-level print firms deliver quality and grow in business. Established in 2009, the company invested in a Konica Minolta Bizhub Press C70hc in 2012 to consolidate its photobook business. Four years later, in December 2016, Pooja installed the MGI Jet Varnish 3DS solution.

A Konica Minolta loyalist, besides the C70hc, Pooja installed Bizhub Press C8000 in 2013 before opting for another C71hc in 2015. The new C71hc is installed at Pooja’s branch office which opened recently.

“Konica Minolta printers are user-friendly,” P Rajesh Reddy of Pooja Digitals said.

Talking about the MGI Jet Varnish 3DS, Reddy mentioned how he noticed that sharpness of emboss is much better in MGI 3DS. “Also, the AIS Smart Scanner makes the process easy and fast by eliminating registration marks,” Reddy added.

He said the machine has boosted the company’s existing photobook business and has opened doors for a new vertical — commercial print enhancement.

The MGI Jet Varnish 3DS harnesses high gloss coating formula, delivering a gloss level of 99% (GU), far beyond what traditional analogue technology can offer. Furthermore, the embedded Automatic Registration Camera (ARC) system in the machine sports two built-in cameras for rectifying coating registration.

“With an output speed of up to 3,000 sheets per hour in 30-micron coating thickness, printing businesses utilising MGI Jet Varnish 3DS can garner a strategic advantage over their competitors in high volume quality industrial printing outputs,” Reddy said.

He added that the eco-friendly operations of the solution enhance coverage and eradicate the release of impulsive solvents and ozone, minimising power consumption and machine sound.
