TechNova's violet CTP drive gets a big boost

Violet seems to be bucking the CTP trend in India. And spearheading the momentum is, TechNova.

Recently New Delhi-based JMD Digitech opted for a complete pre-press makeover, with India's first Alinte dual laser high definition CTP platesetter. This TechNova kit powered by FFEI is capable of producing 34 plates per hour.

According to Vikas Arora, director of JMD, "We will go green with chemistry-free VioGreen plates – since it eliminates water and hazardous chemistry and produces high definition results."

The will boost JMD operations in its 2,000 sqft unit. JMD has 22 employees who produce brochures, reports, periodical and newsletters.

TechNova showcased the violet CTP system VioStar at Print India 2008. Shivam Printing in Kolhapur and ST Reddiar in Kerala were first owners of the VioStar.

S Swarnangka, general manager at TechNova, said: "We've been blessed with 100 installations. What excites is the acceptance of TechNova as a digital solution provider."

He said, "We are joyous to be able to bring a new age, new breed of first generation entrepreneurs to the frontline. And they are defining the adoption of CTP technology in India by creating rules for the legacy leaders."
