Rajesh Malhotra, chief operating officer, CTP solutions (commercial) at TechNova, said: "Elite is fast becoming the preferred brand of thermal plate for packaging and commercial printers, as well as newspaper and magazine printers, who require high resolution long-runs without baking."

Under recommended press conditions, the unbaked Elite plate is capable of achieving run lengths of over 3.5-lakh with conventional inks and over 1-lakh with UV-inks.  The plate's chemical resistant top layer enables disruption-free, high resolution printing. "If required, the plate can be baked to further increase its run-length by 50% to 100%," said Malhotra.

The new Elite plate can achieve a dot resolution of 1% - 99% at 200 lpi screen and is capable of FM and Sublima 280 imaging. According to TechNova, Elite's alcohol-free founts will be ideal for printers who have wanted to go green.

TechNova offers complete solutions for CTP technologies like thermal, violet, UV, inkjet and laser-printer imageable plates, customised workflows, platesetters, processor and proofing systems, sourcing some of required components from global leaders in these technologies under exclusive alliances.

Swarnangka Samaddar, general manager, CTP solutions (commercial), explained: "We work with our customers aspiring to embark upon their CTP journey by helping them to assess their specific current and future needs and devising a roadmap collaboratively with them. Our systems are backed by 24x7 engineering and applications support."
