TechNova’s SmartJet to get its commercial launch at Labelexpo India 2014
SmartJet LP112, a new inkjet label press from TechNova, will make its debut at Labelexpo India 2014. The new inkjet label press is an expansion on TechNova’s first concept inkjet label press, SmartJet-C showcased at Pamex 2013.

The Smartjet-C was built on the revolutionary Memjet waterfall technology, which also marked TechNova’s alliance with Memjet.
“Smartjet is a product around which we have created our solutions ecosystem for the digital label segment,” said S Swarnangka, chief operating officer for digital at TechNova. He added, “SmartJet LP112 is the final product of that concept that we will start offering to our customers from the show.”
The LP112, TechNova claims, is ideally suited for high-speed high-res print-on-demand labels on various media types with capabilities to change the content on the fly. This includes applications like pressure-sensitive labels, retail tags, professional documents and many other applications. The label press can print at a maximum print speed of 12 inches / second at 1600 x 800 dpi, making it one of the fastest in its category. At the highest print resolution of 1600x1600 dpi, the printer can print six inches / second.
Besides the SmartJet LP112, TechNova has lined up a broad portfolio of software solutions that addresses the packaging security, MIS and VDP applications from its alliance partners.
