Sreedhar Printers orders a brand new Ryobi 920 series four-colour plus coater

Minesh Patel, director, Shreedhar Printers, said, “The SM 74 was a 20x29-inch size secondhand press without coating unit. Having an inline coating facility is the need of the market; at least in the commercial printing segment in Gujarat.”

 

He added, “Plus, we wanted a machine with 25x36-inch size, which I feel is the most suitable size in the commercial printing segment, 60% of the jobs can be handled by 18x25-inch sheet size.”

 

This is the first brand new machine for Shreedhar. Today, the printing company houses two secondhand machines it added over the years since its establishment in 2001. The CD 74 is a 23x29-inch five-colour plus coater machine and an SM 74 machine.

 

According to Patel, the Ryobi 924 is a compact machine, which will fit in the same room as that of the SM 74. “So we do not need to make any changes on our shopfloor workflow to accommodate this bigger width four-colour machine with coater,” added Patel.

 

Before making the decision, Patel visited a few Ryobi installations to evaluate the machine operations where he found the machine to be very user-friendly. It is equipped with all the necessary automation including CIP4, a closed-type coater from Harris & Bruno, and semi-automatic plate changer.

 

In addition, Ryobi has agreed to provide two years full-service warranty to Shreedhar Printers. “Even the post-warranty service charges are affordable,” said Patel.

 

The machine will be supplied by Ryobi’s Indian representative Provin Technos.
