SmartCards Expo opens today at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi

Stakeholders working in different segments like smart security, payment, identification and mobility, among others, will come together for the three-day SmartCards Expo 2016, which opened its doors today. The show, being held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, is on until 21 October.

Parallel to the SmartCard Expo, there will be several related shows including e-Security, RFid India, Biometrics India, e-Payments India and Mobile Payments India Expo.

All these technologies are linked with one another and the show will play an important role in bringing companies, clients and end-users to one single platform.

Towards this end, a conference is being organised on the sidelines of the show, which will be attended by international experts from the smart card industry. The conference will cover topics related to Smart Cities, which include smart buildings, smart grids, energy and utilities, security, big data, transport systems, infrastructure, Internet of Things (IoT) Data Analytics, driving real-time insights, public and commercial projects, and case studies, Research Design and Development, IoT Wearables, and IoT Industrial Applications, among others.

The expo, launched in 1999, has since emerged as No 1 smart card exhibition in Asia and No 2 in the world. The event is organised by Electronics Today, a techno-economics electronics monthly launched in 1968.
