The E-Cut 530 machines allow application of spot varnish on digitally printed labels in semi-rotary mode or full varnish in full rotary mode. It also allows semi-rotary die cutting, waste rewinding, slitting, rewinding and sheet cutting for the output in sheets or in final products.

The E-Cut 330 is a compact digital converting solution, which combines an ergonomic design together with the increased speed of up to 60m/min in semi-rotary mode. It is developed on Smag’s existing platform, the Digital Galaxie of which there are 327 units installed world over.

Smag uses the screen process to print, but the machines’ modular design allows for installation of digital printhead too.

Sandro Cardoch, manager for Latin America at Smag, said, “As the digital transition continues to progress, and the widths keep increasing, the printer has to be equipped with modern and efficient production tools. In the web print era, time constraints impose an exemplary reliability of equipment while maintaining the high quality of presses and converting machines.”

Smag claims, the E-Cut 530 meets all the needs of printers who have to adapt themselves to series always shorter while optimizing the entire flow of printing through automation. “The targeted products are principally dedicated to the sectors of perfumery, cosmetics, winery, spirits, food, pharmaceutical, industry, healthcare and phytosanitary,” said Sandro.

The E-Cut 330 is a compact digital converting solution which can run at a speed of up to 60m/min in semi-rotary mode.

Besides the two new machines, two inspection machines – Sirius 420mm and the Digital Galaxie Generation III 350mmm; and one high-speed silkscreen printing Galaxie SP were also running demos on the stand.
