SIPA’s maiden conference in Hyderabad

The first major event by South India Printers Association since its formation in January 2015, will be a conference hosted by the Telangana Offset Printers Association, on 26 July 2015 at Best Western Ashoka Hotel in Hyderabad.

C Ravinder Reddy, president, TOPA, said, “Inspired by the industrial policy of the Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, this conference aims to look at the new industrial policy from the eyes of the printing industry and contribute to the development of Telangana’s economy.” 
 
The Telangana information technology minister, K Taraka Rama Rao will be the chief guest of the conference, while the guests of honour include S Niranjan Reddy, vice chairman, Telangana State Planning Commission and B P Acharya, IAS, principal secretary, Department of Planning and Commissioner.
 
The conference, which will revolve around the theme: Build the future while printing today, will discuss pressing issues like change of power tariff, allotment of government land for printing and packaging industry, subsidy on capital investment and VAT.
 
In addition to this the delegates will confabulate on establishing a training centre to update the skills of printers and workers with regards to changing technology while looking at the international market.
 
The delegates will also benefit from the technical presentations of ST Reddiar and Sons’ R Suresh, Artisan Company’s P Chander, Tamil Nadu Printers’ Association’s CD Kumaravel and Param ERP’s Vinod Nawab.
