At the show, the packaging firm displayed mono-cartons, e-flute mono cartons and rigid boxes.

Speaking to PrintWeek India, Rajan Singhania, director at Singhania Offset, said, “The rigid box market is growing in the Hyderabad. It has a huge scope. We have recently started catering to Chennai-based print buyer whose requirement now is 20-lakh rigid boxes per month but will eventually be two lakh rigid boxes per month. We have just began our partnership and we hope that the quantity will gradually increase.”

According to Singhania, the firm is looking for more and more automation in the process. He said, “It is okay if you have a standard order for which you don’t require high automation. But when the order quantity increases and simultaneously high-quality is required then it becomes a compulsion to go in for automisation. It not only increases productivity but also saves on time.”

The firm has recently expanded its operation with an investment in a 25,000sq/ft area plant and equipment where it produces e-flute mono-cartons.

Singhania concludes, “Our present setup is catering to mono-cartons and rigid box production. We did not want to disturb the operation and hence we have invested in altogether a new area which is dedicated for e-flute mono cartons. For this we have invested in brand-new liner machines too.”
