Silverpoint aims to tap growing digital print demand with HP Indigo 12000

Silverpoint Press has invested in the HP Indigo 12000 digital offset press at their integrated plant in Mahape, Navi Mumbai. The digital press was officially inaugurated by Alon Bar Shany, general manager, HP Indigo on 24 January 2017.

The 12000 is the firm’s second Indigo digital offset press to be installed.

At the event, Shany said, “Leveraging HP Indigo’s continuous innovation, our customers around the globe providing brands unprecedented printing solutions to improve brand-customer engagement, while improving their own businesses by driving a shift in how the printing industry across world does business.”

Shabbir Muchhala, managing director, Silverpoint Press, said, “The HP Indigo 12000 digital press will help us in meeting our clients demand for consistent high quality prints and its capability to print at speed of 4,600 sheets per hour and substrates of thickness ranging from 70-400gsm will help us in expanding our customer base as well to some unexplored markets as well.”

“The press will help us to increase productivity, reduce waste and offer a superior quality of image printing and offer B2 size to the market in digital space,” he added.

This is the first installation of the HP Indigo 12000 digital offset press in the commercial printing segment. We believe that the 12000 will offer a whole new range of applications possibilities by being able to print on over 3,000 different media’s including plastics and with seven-colour possibilities including white ink “

“This press now offers something unique for commercial printing and light packaging which is a first among its competitors and would be able to open new dimensions to printing today,” informed Shany.
