“We have a long association with PrintPack. This time too, as expected, the footfall was good. We have received some good domestic as well as international inquiries, said YP Singh, owner, Sigma Rollers. In fact, the company saw 40% rise in the footfall compared to the last edition two years back.

At the exhibition, the company displayed its range of printing rubber rollers, including the newly launched WebNxt compound. “Our target customers were OEMs and international clients. Our USP is the installation-ready roller (IR), which received strong inquiries, and has been accepted by the masses,” he said.

Sigma Rollers’ new compound, WebNxt for web-fed applications, is ideally suited for high speed double width printing machines, including KBA, Geoman, Colorman and TKS machines. The highlights of the compound include extended life, minimal shrinkage, less energy consumption, higher hysteresis, and higher resilience.

“We were happy to launch it during PrintPack, and received good inquires as well as feedback from existing and prospective customers,” Singh added.

On future trends, Singh believes, based on what he saw at the exhibition, that the future will include UV-based rollers.

Sigma Roller offers a wide range of inking rollers, installation-ready rollers, dampening rollers, machinery and compounds.

A compound is a mixture of various ingredients with polymer base to obtain the required physical and chemical properties, according to industry specifications. The roller industry uses a very wide range of elastomers, which is largely due to the numerous physical property requirements, as well as the exposure to a wide variety of chemicals seen during specific applications.

“We, at Sigma Rollers, develop consistent, high standard rubber compounds to meet stringent requirement for roller manufactures for all industries. We also deliver custom mixed compounds. We only use top quality raw materials,” Singh said.
