Shuban Prints conducts Komori open house to announce its packaging venture

Shuban Prints has commissioned its first brand-new Komori Lithrone S429, a four-colour press enabled with Komori Hyper System - Advanced Interface (KHS-AI).

The press comes with a fully automatic pre-loader and feeder for non-stop feeder and delivery mechanism

The installation completes the Jaipur-based firms Rs 7.5-crore first phase investment in machinery and plant, which includes a new 20,000 sq/ft facility located in Jhotwara industrial area.

The company also used the inaugural function of the facility to jointly organise an open house with Delhi-based Insight Print, suppliers of the Komori machine.

Bharat Gupta, director at Shuban Prints said: "For months, we undertook a rigorous testing with different substrates for packaging and commercial jobs. This is a single press with high degree of flexibility with dual applications for packaging and commercial printing at high speed of 16,000sph speed offering stunning printing competence on both light and heavy stocks."

Shuban Prints has been in the printing business for eight years offering mono cartons for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, FMCG items with crash lock bottom, reverse tuck-in, universal type, display tray, PDQs blister cards and full range of commercial works.

Apart from the Komori press, the new setup is equipped with brand new APL UV & aqueous coater, Acme automatic paper-cutting, platen punching and folder-gluer, paper folding machine, Memory plate makers and processor, a refurbished Bobst die-cutting and a digital Konica Minolta Bizhub C 280 machine along with other ancillary finishing equipment.

Gupta informed: "Our current target is of 60-lakh sheets and 2.4-lakh mono cartons per month with the existing infrastructure. The first phase with plant and machine integration will be completed by December 2011. We will be adding a fully automatic line machine in second phase of investment."

Shuban employs 30 persons and its HR is headed by Gupta’s sister, Neha.
