Shree Arun bridges gap with Kongsberg V20

"We realised that a sampling table was the missing link in our state-of-the-art chain of equipment," said Hemant Bhotica, director, Shree Arun Packaging.

Mumbai-based Shree Arun Packaging, primarily a folding box manufacturer, caters to the pharmaceutical, FMCG, food and cosmetic segments. The company recently installed the Kongsberg V20 cutting and creasing table with Flexi-head for producing packaging prototypes.

For Bhotica, having the right set of tools is the crux to efficiently compete in the carton market. “We were thinking of getting a sample maker for quite some time but were not able to work out the costs. And that seemed to be the only gap in our operation."

After seeking various alternatives and doing an extensive research, Bhotica settled with the Esko. "We use the Esko software. And for the sample maker, we were convinced, the Kongsberg will give us an edge. Our clients, too know that Kongsberg means quality,” said director.

The Kongsberg V20 works on materials with size 1700x1300 mm and is equipped with a camera system, which ensures print-to-cut registration, even with print-distorted materials. “The Kongsberg V20 has given us a lot of flexibility. We can now cater to our clients faster. In addition to this, it is not a very complicated machine to handle. Once the workforce is trained, it is easy to run."
