Selection Scan De’ Print specialises in commercial print jobs like posters; calendars; diaries; POPs; files and folders; brochures; leaflets; catalogues; and stationery items. With the new investment, the print firm aims to enter into the next segment of book printing.

Navin Savla, director at Selection Scan De’ Print, said: "Our target is book printing and the finishing segment. The other reason of investing in pre-press, press and post-press equipment, besides catering to the book sector, was to increase our production capacity."

Savla added, the Ryobi 920 gives the company "significantly" faster makeready than the presses presently running on the shop floor. "With run lengths decreasing, speed of makeready becomes a critical factor in print production. It is all about how quickly you can move from job to job."

The firm has also expanded its operations, having invested in a site adjoining the present set-up, where the new machines have been installed.

Sanjay Gada, director at Selection Scan De’ Print, said: "We were facing space crunch and therefore we could not install the new machines but now we have invested in new space where we have installed the machines. This has improved our functionality."
