The firm which moved from digital print to screen caters to telecom, tobacco, liquor, banking and insurance sectors for its indoor and outdoor advertising requirements such as POP and POS, which is mostly on acrylic and vinyl substrates.

"We see a change in the trend. More and more customers are seeking durability and outdoor life of advertising materials printed on vinyl and acrylic," said Jayanto Ghosh, director of Studio Digital.

He added: "We find screen printing with UV is the best option to meet such demands of print buyers."

Studio Digital installed its first Cam-Shell in June 2010 and opted for the same machine agains, citing excellent after sales and support as one of the reason for the decision. "I had only two options either to opt for Grafica or to import the machine," said Ghosh.

"The excellent working of the first machine and the excellent after-sales service and technical support, tilted the scale in favour of Grafica," he added.

Studio Digital was originally Studio Printall located in Kolkata and was founded by Ghosh’s father. Studio Printall, which also had a manual screen printing set up, did a range of commercial jobs then.

The family later moved the business to New Delhi with the new name.

Studio Digital is also a recipient of many national awards. The four walls of the their awards room are adorned with several photographs of the Ghosh family receiving awards for excellence in printing advertising materials from India’s past presidents.
