The most important of them being that it has sold the C901 printer exhibited at the show to Ma Prints, Bengaluru.

This is the third Ricoh machine that has been bought by Ma Printers. "Ricoh is the youth of the digital printing world, and the youth will drive the future," says Guruji, production incharge of Ma Prints.

In an award ceremony held in the afternoon, Ricoh also bagged the award for the best stall at Pamex.

Another attraction at the Ricoh stall has been the ‘black beauty’ Ricoh Infoprint 5000 press. The IP 5000 also strengthens Ricoh’s entry into the high-end presses. According to Winston Liu of Infoprint Solutions, which is now fully-owned by Ricoh, IP 5000 is a very clean machine designed to suit not only traditional print environment but also to corporate data centres.

"Ricoh already has several flagship products in lower and medium segment, the 5000 is very complementary with these products," he adds.

Avijit Mukherjee of Ricoh said: "As you would have noticed, Ricoh has been very active in presenting a wide range of products to suit variable needs of the printing industry. With Infoprint becoming a member of the Ricoh family, we aim to strengthen our propositions in the high-end market. The 5000 is a very environmental friendly machine with supreme quality prints."
